SimStar Leads Interactive Honors at PhAME Awards
Premier Healthcare Agency Commended for Excellence in DTC Advertising
Princeton, NJ - May 14, 2004 - SimStar, a leading interactive relationship marketing agency serving the healthcare industry, has announced the results of the 2004 PhAME Awards, which recognized SimStar's position at the forefront of interactive DTC marketing.
SimStar was recognized for its interactive marketing contributions to Novartis' ZELNORM®, where SimStar collaborated with Deutsch to produce the "Best Integrated DTC Campaign." Another Novartis brand, FAMVIR®, won the award for "Best Interactive DTC Campaign" for a campaign developed by OgilvyOne and SimStar. SimStar was also recognized for its contributions as the interactive agency for Schering-Plough's CLARITIN®, which was inducted into the "DTC Hall of Fame." Additionally, SimStar is currently the Interactive Marketing Agency of Record for two other brands that took home awards―Pfizer's DETROL® LA and AstraZeneca's PULMICORT RESPULES®.
The PhAME Awards honor excellence in pharmaceutical marketing and advertising. Founded in 1999, the Awards have quickly grown to be among the most coveted honors in the DTC industry. Entries are judged on creativity and breakthrough execution of marketing strategy, as well as results in achieving marketing objectives.
The 2004 panel of judges included more than two dozen senior executives who are some of the most respected names in the healthcare, advertising, and broadcast industries. The event was held at the Solomon Guggenheim Museum in New York City and hosted by Steve Kroft of CBS's 60 Minutes.
