Consultant

Overview
The Consultant is a key player on most projects, often managing the day-to-day analytic tasks to ensure the project is delivering the objective in a timely manner.  The Consultant "owns" the data on a project and is often viewed as the expert, internally and externally, on the respective project's data analyses.  Due to increased mastery and proficiency in core Consultant skills, the Consultant can fully leverage the Rosetta tool-kit and rapidly develop and test alternative analytic approaches that drive to incrementally effective solutions.

 

A Consultant has the dual responsibilities of designing and completing his/her own analysis, as well as managing Associate Consultants on the project. In addition, the Consultant gains significant exposure to clients by serving as the key analytical contact. The Consultant can effectively coach/explain analytical approaches to Associate Consultants and other team members and can clearly identify and understand issues that must be addressed to solve a problem.  As the Consultant advances, he/she generates new ideas and stimulates creativity among the team and quickly becomes the team's trusted resource for data interpretation and category understanding, and can also support the development of new IP (Intellectual Property) across projects with more senior members of the team.

 

What You'll Do
As the day-to-day project manager, the Consultant's primary responsibilities include:

  • "Owning the analytics" on a project, from start to finish
  • Formulating initial client recommendations based on analysis for presentation to the Director, Associate Partner or Partner
  • Managing and coaching Associate Consultants to understand Rosetta's methodologies and each client's industry
  • Sharing project management responsibilities with the project team by balancing client needs with internal resources and ensuring against a solid work plan so that all deliverables are met on time

A Consultant will enhance his/her professional experience through:

  • Strengthening of communication skills, through development of presentation materials and active involvement at client meetings and presentations
  • Developing mastery of analytical toolkits and the ability to derive and apply key insights from qualitative and quantitative analyses to address specific client needs
  • Day-to-day management of the project, from training of junior resources to advancement of the project's next steps

What Qualifications You'll Need
A Consultant derives key insights from the analytical work he/she does on the project. There are several qualities Rosetta seeks in prospective applicants for this position:

  • From 2-4 years of full-time work experience, ideally with prior relevant experience in a professional services firm of a consulting or rigorously quantitative nature
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to synthesize data to develop key consumer insights
  • Proven experience in assessing the business problem and framing the analysis
  • Ability to manage project tasks simultaneously across multiple engagements
  • Willingness to train and coach Associate Consultants as necessary
